Aventura Hospital and Medical Center is a 407-bed acute care Level II Trauma Center providing award-winning inpatient and outpatient diagnostic, medical, surgical and cancer services. Responsibilities include: • Oversee the development of policies, protocols and guidelines related to Trauma • Coordinate and monitor trauma care management across the continuum of care • Ensure comprehensive and continuous care provided for trauma patients evaluated/admitted from ER • Collaborate w/trauma medical director to implementing educational, clinical, research, administrative and outreach activities of program • Collaborate and develop appropriate required clinical reports for hospital and the State of Florida • Ensure accreditation standards are met for Trauma Center verification • Ensure Trauma Service compliance with regulatory agency standards, TJC AHCA

Trauma Medical Director

Trauma Medical Director

Steward Health Care is currently seeking a physician for a Trauma Medical Director position at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, MA. This position will develop, coordinate and provide input on practice guidelines, policies and methodologies for trauma medical/surgical patient care, and implement improvements in trauma care offered to patients through both onsite review and benchmarking with TQIP data. The ideal candidate will have successfully completed a Trauma residency or fellowship, have 3-5 years of Trauma experience and must be a member of a national organization such as EAST or AAST. Candidate will also serve as Co- Director of the Critical Care and Vice Chair of the Department of Surgery. This position will require 50% clinical and 50% administrative duties and will participate in a trauma call coverage rotation. The candidate must be board certified in general surgery by the ABSS.
